Director of Programming for Microsoft’s Xbox Live, Lawrence “Larry” Hryb, who’s better known by his gamertag “Major Nelson”, published a blog post earlier listing the next phase of Microsoft’s Xbox One launch regions.

More information will be revealed towards the end of April. The following markets will have the Xbox One launched there in September 2014:

  • Argentina
  • Belgium
  • Chile
  • Colombia
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • India
  • Israel
  • Japan
  • Korea
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Russia
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Singapore
  • Slovakia
  • South Africa
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • Turkey
  • UAE

Just a week after Sony’s PlayStation 4 US launch, Microsoft initially shipped the Xbox one to 13 markets back in November 2014: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, the UK, and the US.

The eight regions that have gotten the Xbox One release delayed — Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and Switzerland — are all now in the September 2014 launch window. There are only three Asia Pacific markets to get the Xbox One: Japan, Korea, and Singapore. China is said to get the console this year, after having its console-banning policy lifted last year, but it is not on the list.

Before you get all too excited, Malaysia is not on any of the list. Heck, even the 8-year-old Xbox 360 was never officially launched in Malaysia.
